2010 IFPI AGM AGM2010

The 2010 IFPI AGM was held on 25 September in Auckland.

Interesting and informative presentations were given by Liz McKenzie (Persistence of methamphetamine after cleaning of dwellings formerly used as clandestine laboratories), Andrew McGregor (Investigation of Devon aircraft accident), Nick Powell (Terminal ballistics of .22LR projectiles in human tissue simulant) and Peter Burridge (Fingerprints, forensics & training opportunities). Anna Sandiford informed us of happenings at the CBA conference in Queenstown, the ANZFSS Symposium in Sydney and also of the transition of Forensic Science & Research Ltd into The Forensic Group.

Nick Powell chaired the second session where members gave their impressions of the ANFSS Symposium.

At the AGM itself Anna Sandiford was elected IFPI secretary. Many thanks and much appreciation is due to Nick Powell for his impressive tenure as Secretary. Nick did not seek re-election as Secretary because of an ever-increasing workload at Forensic & Industrial Science.
